Field Experiences in Elementary Arts and Science Classes

This 5-page undergraduate essay describes the author’s experiences in educational field work. The author describes three elementary-level music classes attended. The author describes visiting and taking part in a grade one, a grade four, and a grade six music class. In each case, the goal of the activity observed seemed to be to encourage students to improvise melodies, variations, and accompaniments.
