Further, this movie will be viewed as a microcosm of the relationship between fashion and the culture from which it springs. In the end, Ready to Wear (Pret-a-Porter as it is called in the fashion world), is an appropriate title for the movie in reference to both the literal clothing designed within the movie and the metaphorical double-meaning the term has in describing the characters within.
